Why is God punishing them?

In the world of numbers, there is a powerful principle called "reversion to the mean" (regression to the mean). When you roll a 1 on the dice, it is very likely that the next number you roll will be higher. On the other hand, if you roll a six, it is very likely that a lower number will come up on the next roll.

The same principle governs Excess Mortality, i.e. the number of people who die above the expected level. If you have a lot of people die during an epidemic who wouldn't normally have died - so the excess death rate jumps well above zero - then it's reasonable to expect that after the epidemic there will be rather fewer deaths - so the excess death rate drops below zero. You can't die twice. So, a reasonable and expected development of excess mortality over the last six years should look like this:

So can someone explain to me why, for example, the excess mortality looks like this in Germany?

A few more years like this and we will run out of Germans.

If it was just Germany, I'd be willing to look for some specifically German Erklärung. But in the chart below I've shown you all the Anglo-Saxon countries we have data from.

It can be seen that from around the summer of 2021 – i.e. after the large waves of excess mortality during covid – all Anglo-Saxon countries have a fairly substantial excess mortality for at least fifty consecutive months. The death rate is stable around +10%, which is not a small amount. And please be aware that these states are scattered all over the globe – northern and southern hemispheres, cold and warm climates, dry and wet climates. That some god would punish them for that language? Or for the king?

Australia and New Zealand are worth a separate picture because they avoided large waves of covid deaths in 2020. Both countries had vaccines before the virus. The result is particularly interesting.

But it probably won't be in the English language, because it's not just Anglo-Saxon countries. In the chart below you can find the other large rich countries of Western and Northern Europe. I didn't display countries that were too small, on the one hand, there would be nothing left to see, and on top of that, small countries tend to have a large range of values. Again, almost fifty months of very substantial excess mortality following a period of several major waves of covid deaths. What aspect of all these lands bothers the gods so much? Are they too rich? Do they have too old a population? Do they eat something the others don't? Did the residents there receive any special batches of vaccines? Or, unlike us, they didn't falsify the vaccination certificates and really had the "vaccines" injected into them?

When we look at Central and Eastern Europe, it no longer looks so hopeless. Below are the countries of the former Eastern Bloc, from south to north.

As of mid-2023, in most of these countries, the excess mortality is systematically where it should be after the epidemic - below zero. The truth is that many more people died in these countries during covid (which in itself is also the subject of a detective story).

I won't drag Southern Europe into it now, the situation there is roughly in the middle between the two pictures above. The death rate is rather above zero, but not as dramatically as in Western Europe and Anglo-Saxon countries.

Does anyone understand this?

After writingThis article fell upon me while cleaning out the bowels of my computer this summer. I wrote it less than a year ago, and then I either forgot to publish it or someone told me again that it was not state-building and balanced enough. Anyway, it's a good thing I waited, because the problem I describe in the text above has since been solved in the standard way: The data is gone. Today, you can click on Excess Mortality on Our World in Data only until the end of 2023, when the epidemic was still catching up, so the terrible numbers could still be falsified. However, I did not interfere in the above text - I could not have written it better myself :)
