This Is What They Deserve

Well, that was a disaster. It wasn't just that Republicans lost Ohio, vice president's home state, or that Texas is now completely Democratic. It's that Mississippi, as of right now, could get a Democrat in the Senate. How badly did it go for Republicans last night? In Alabama, a transgendered Democrat beat a Republican incumbent in the state house. And it's not like there was an outcry in Alabama. Let's put it up a dress. That's not what happened. All of this was a response to the first two years of the Trump administration. This was kind of a collective howl of pain. This was a reaction to what the country's been going through. And if you call around to people, you will likely find that the more proTrump this person was 2 years ago, the more this person is likely to say, "Well, this is a disaster, of course, but I'm not entirely sad about it." In other words, this may not be what we deserve, but it's definitely what the Republican party deserves.
