This Will Define Your Relationship

The foundation of a marriage is a single critical piece that will determine the health, prosperity, [music] happiness of your family or children. Does the wife respect her husband? Men are required [music] to love their wives. Women are required to respect their husbands. And I do think loving your wife is easier than respecting your husband because men have a pretty low threshold for love. It just kind of comes naturally. Respect for your husband is harder to win, but it's absolutely critical. And when a wife respects her husband, she gives a sense of security and vulnerability to the children. Everything's [music] okay between mom and dad. Therefore, everything is okay, period. And that is where the peace in a marriage comes from is that respect. [music] And it has to be given and also earned. She has to give it, he has to earn it. And so, that is the critical [music] thing. 35 years married, 41 years with the same girl, and that's what I've concluded.
